Program Description
As kids in many parts of the world are going back to school, we have been flooded with requests for help with bullying. Parents, grandparents, educators, coaches, counselors, and other caring adults are saying,
Help! Our child is being bullied at school!
Help! Our students are struggling with how to get along!
Help! How can we create a culture of safety and respect for everyone?
This special live program led by Kidpower International Executive Director and Founder Irene van der Zande will show adults how to use Kidpower’s 3+ decades of teaching emotional and personal safety skills to help solve these problems.
Together, we will learn and practice how to:
- Advocate effectively to find solutions to bullying problems
- Intervene respectfully and powerfully to stop unsafe or disrespectful behavior
- Teach boundary and positive communication skills to help develop safe and strong relationships
When you register for the program, you will have the opportunity to ask specific questions that we can address either during the program or afterwards. Instead of charging a fee, we are requesting that participants make a donation that works well for their budget to help ensure that our services are available to people regardless of their ability to pay.
After the program, we will send a follow-up email with links to extensive educational resources including posters, articles, and safety tips and to self-paced online courses, addressing topics such as child protection, emotional safety, managing triggers, and positive strategies for helping children to manage aggression. We will provide a coupon for the Face Bullying With Confidence course that shows how to teach 8 skills to stop bullying.
Donation-Based Program
Pre-registration is required as there is limited space.
Because practicing together greatly increases the ability to use the skills taught in real life, we strongly recommend that you keep your video and microphone on and practice along with the instructor.
Upon registering, participants will receive a confirmation email with the meeting link.
The instructor’s presentation may be recorded for Kidpower use. Participants will not be recorded.
Instructor will stay up to 30 minutes after the end of the workshop to answer questions and practice skills.
