The Watsonville Family YMCA is dedicated to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility through providing recreational and personal growth activities to people of all ages and abilities.
“We have heard from many parents and kids who are anxious after hearing about what happened in Santa Cruz and concerned about acts of violence in our own town. At the YMCA, we are dedicated to the safety and well-being of local youth and families and are excited about this collaboration with Kidpower,” says Watsonville Family YMCA Director Robert Wollenzein.
The YMCA will also observe International Child Protection Month by sharing educational resources though social media and email to its member families; publishing a special article from Kidpower; printing and discussing the Kidpower Protection Promise and Put Safety First Commitment, and sharing information about other positive, powerful actions adults can take for child protection.
