Finding safety and getting help are fundamental Kidpower safety skills. However, you may have noticed that getting help is not always so simple. Sometimes it can be hard to know who to go to to get help, and sometimes someone you might ask for help won’t listen to you. Also, many people are afraid to get help about a problem because they think they will be “tattling”. This episode of Kidpower Shorts focuses on how to find someone to ask for help, how to practice asking for help with a clear and calm voice, how to persist in getting help when someone does not listen, and how to tell the difference between tattling and telling to get help.
Avery is a Kidpower native and is currently studying Zoology at the University of Glasgow. He is glad to be supporting Kidpower by producing the Kidpower Shorts, which he hopes will be accessible and helpful to people of all ages around the world!
