The San Jose Sharks Foundation has awarded a grant to Kidpower that will help support safety workshops for children and teens together with the adults who care for them.
“The San Jose Sharks Foundation strives to be a good role model, committed to giving back to the community that strongly supports us,” said Jim Sparaco, President of the Sharks Foundation Board, and they selected Kidpower along with 22 other nonprofit organizations as their 2015 beneficiaries.
Thanks to their generous support, hundreds of young people vulnerable to bullying, cyber bullying, abuse, and other violence will benefit from experiential, interactive Kidpower workshops teaching boundary setting, advocacy, awareness, online safety, and other skills they can use to help themselves be safe and thrive for years to come.
