Practicing Calm Down Power to clear your mind.
Skill #2: Stay Calm to Make Wiser Choices. Both kids and adults can think more clearly and make wiser choices to solve problems if they are calm and in control of their feelings and actions. Practice together how to take a slow breath and get grounded by pressing your palms together or against your legs and your feet against the floor. And remember, kids learn better when their adults stay calm!
