Kidpower prepares people to act in the moments that matter most.
When one of those moments threatened her husband’s life, Shusma Pokhrel had practiced a lot – and she was prepared to act.
“He was ill with dengue fever, and we were waiting for help in the crowded emergency room,” says Shusma, Kidpower International Director for Nepal.
“Suddenly, he fainted! Culturally, it would have been normal for me to wait until someone noticed. Instead, after teaching so much Kidpower, it was in my body to yell ‘HELP!’ so loudly and confidently that 15 people immediately came running to help.
“My husband is alive and well today – and I truly believe Kidpower skills helped save his life.”
Please donate today to give these life-saving skills to others in your community and around the world – with confidence that your gift has the power to help someone in danger at the moment that matters most.
And, all gifts will be doubled through December 31 thanks to our Leadership Circle – give now to double your impact!
