Hands & Voices is a non-profit, parent-driven organization dedicated to supporting families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing that started 12 years ago in Colorado and is now the largest advocacy group of its kind in the US. A variety of services include resources, training, and guidance for parents and professionals committed to: improved educational and social outcomes for children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Kidpower has been providing consultation and materials for their O.U.R. Children’s Safety Project sexual abuse prevention program, as well as helping to develop personal safety objectives for Individualized Educational Plans and Individual Family Service Plans.
As a Founding Partner of International Child Protection Month, Hands & Voices is sharing child protection tips and resources with its 35,000 members though its newsletter and social media during September.
