Safetypowers Team Leaders Erika Leonard & Marylaine Leger each have 28+ years of experience teaching social-emotional safety skills on the Kidpower International team. More than 10 million people worldwide of all ages, abilities, and life situations have benefited from Kidpower International programs and educational resources since 1989. Marylaine and Erika will be co-leading this event together with Safetypowers Ambassadors Nanna and Natalie.

Namrata Shah
Namrata “Nanna” Shah became a Safetypowers Ambassador in 2024 after experiencing Safetypowers organized by her local Gigi’s Playhouse in California. Having 17 years of work experience, Nanna soon joined our Workpower Advisory Council to help direct development of our Workpower educational resource. Nanna is also featured as a Workpower video lesson presenter. In her Workpower Advisor role , Nanna continues to offer direction for the development of Workpower as well as of our new Workpower: For Employers resource to be launched in 2025.
Born and raised in India, Nanna speaks two languages, English and Hindi. and She has always loved playing sports and is a strong team player – building teamwork skills she brings to Workpower! Her diligence, follow-through, and commitment to upholding commitments and agreements has made her a powerful addition to the Workpower team.
Natalie Jackson
Natalie Jackson has served as a Safetypowers Ambassador and as a Workpower Advisory Council member since 2024, when she participated in an online Safetypowers workshop organized by her local Gigi’s Playhouse. Since then, Natalie has dedicated hours working with our team to support the development of both Workpower and Workpower: For Employers.
Natalie’s work experience as a movie theater usher and as a food service worker gives her unique insights into the interpersonal communication challenges that come up in the workplace – and also into the challenges faced by all workers who need to rely on public transportation services to get to and from work. Natalie’s professional goal is to provide food for people who are experiencing food insecurity and to be able to provide them with healthier meals. As she works toward this goal, Natalie plays a crucial role on the Safetypowers Team both as a Safetypowers Ambassador and as a Workpower Advisory Council member, helping ensure that our educational resources are as practical and relevant as possible.
Erika Leonard
Erika manages the Safetypowers Roundtable, the Workpower Advisory Council, and our instructors. She organizes and leads live online Workpower programs throughout California.
Erika has been with Kidpower since 1995, serves as an International Training Team member, a Senior Program Leader, and as Kidpower’s Community Education Director, which includes providing key leadership for our social media, website design, and special projects teams such as Workpower.
Marylaine Léger
Marylaine leads online course development and production for all Safetypowers and Workpower video lessons and educational materials. With Erika, she supports the live online Workpower programs.
Marylaine has been with Kidpower since1996 and serves as Kidpower’s International Programs Director, which includes leading the development and implementation of our Online Learning Center, where our Workpower and Safetypowers courses are located along with other Kidpower International educational resources. She is the producer of the Safetypowers course and many other courses as well as a presenter in several courses. She is part of the Curriculum and Training Team and a Senior Program Leader. She is also the Center Director for Pleins Pouvoirs KIDPOWER Montréal, our Québec center.
