We Need You! Do you have a little flexibility in your schedule? Do you want to make a lasting difference in people’s lives? Do you want to learn how to teach kids to take charge of their own safety and learn smart skills to protect themselves?

The demand for our workshops in the greater San Francisco Bay area is exploding and we need instructors. We have extended our deadline to sign up for our January 24-29 2019 training to January 5th. Why?

Because …

WE NEED YOU!

Having fun practicing safety skills!

If you live in California and have ever thought about becoming a Kidpower instructor, NOW is a great time to apply for our Core Program Training!

Our instructors come from all walks of life. They are parents, teachers, personal trainers, police officers, software engineers, office managers, doctors, attorneys, grad students, child-care workers, consultants, real estate agents, musicians, corporate managers, martial artists, therapists… and the list goes on!

We train new instructors year-round, but the 6-day Kidpower Core Program Training in January is a required part of the certification process and only happens once a year.

What makes a successful instructor? The most important qualities are having a passion to making a difference in the world through this work, and a good heart, a good head, respect for boundaries, a deep commitment to grow, and the desire to learn. I, along with our Senior Trainers, will provide a hands-on, life-changing experience for each of our instructor candidates.

An Empowering Success Story. There are few things you can teach in just a couple hours that will have such a profound and positive impact on the lives of others as Kidpower’s awareness, confidence, and safety skills. We want to share one of the many success stories we have that shows the impact you can have teaching Kidpower skills.

“Awareness, calm, and confidence, Mama! Remember?”

“Early one sunny morning, my eight-year-old daughter Melia and I were visiting the park. No one seemed to be around, until a homeless man who often sleeps there started to approach us, muttering angrily. I turned away from him, pulling Melia with me. My heart thumped as he started to follow us.

Then Melia pulled herself up straight. With her head held high, she smiled and waved at the man, who stopped instantly. Still holding my hand, my daughter walked briskly, whispering the Kidpower lessons I had taught her: ‘Awareness, calm, and confidence, Mama! Remember?’ The man stood still, and watched us go.”

Join people coming to train with us from around the world. Those accepted into our training program will immediately become part of our international community of leaders who are dedicated to safety and empowerment for all ages and abilities. Instructors will receive support in preparing to teach Kidpower right away with a flexible schedule that works for you.

Plus, California instructor candidates train at substantially reduced training fees because of our great need for new instructors. We don’t want money to stop qualified people from teaching with us, so if you cannot afford the full fee, let us know and we will work with you to develop a plan.
