Ellen Frankel of Kidpower California shares Kidpower’s Underlying Principle:

“The safety and wellbeing of a child is more important than anyone’s inconvenience, embarrassment or offense — even our own!”

Sometimes it can be embarrassing to stand up for our children’s safety; we might be inconvenienced or we might inconvenience someone else; someone (including someone we care about) might be angry or offended when we advocate for the wellbeing of our children. AND, we need to do what is right for our children by standing up for them — even if this is hard for someone else, or for ourselves.
